#Throwback Thursday

Hey guys! Here is a look that I wore this past winter! It didn't make the blog then due to me not being satisfied with the picture quality, but how befitting for a #ThrowbackThursday Post?

If you saw this look on instagram, then you know I also wore a faux fur coat on top which I picked up from ASOS for a steal! I can't wait to pull the furs out again for fall and winter!

The Boiler Suit

Denim jumpsuits/Boiler suits are a huge trend for the fall season, but I believe they are timeless! They are so comfortable and no matter day or night, they fit the occasion.

This is an item I believe should be in every woman's wardrobe and there are so many options; fitted, wide leg, or go for a baggy and cuffed jumpsuit like the one I'm wearing.

I wore this jumpsuit to a day party and it transitioned perfectly into the night time festivities. I received so many compliments from men and women and I love how it was different from the norm.

I kept the look simple with military inspired booties and a casual clutch.

How do you all feel about Denim Jumpsuits? Will you rock this look or will you pass?

Kimono Love

As  you all know, the Kimono trend took Summer '14 by storm and I don't see this trend going anywhere anytime soon!

The kimono is so versatile be it if you wear it as a swimsuit cover up, over a pair of barely there shorts or even over your favorite pair of jeans! It can instantly take your look to the next level!

You can also transition your darker hued kimono's (like the one I'm wearing here) into the Fall season! Layer it up with a pair of jeans and throw on a fur vest if you really want to add a touch of glamour!
psst ...even a wide brim hat too! I say pile it on lol.

Sometimes Grainy IPhone Pics...

Hi Guys! I apologize for the grainy pics, but I posted these pics on my social media outlets and many wanted details on my look so I'm here to deliver :)

Last weekend I took a much needed mini vacation for my friends Birthday! I wore this casual look out to a lounge to celebrate, and I love the fact that everything was already in my wardrobe!

I didn't have to go out and purchase anything new and I still felt cute and I was comfortable which is important for me when going out. Nothing worse than having to cut your night short because of uncomfortable shoes and clothes. No bueno!

No Grey Area...

All black with white accessories is just my thing and you guys know how much I love a sporty chic look!

A white shoe is definitely a bold statement, but I feel like white shoes can instantly give your look a sporty/chic vibe; it's unexpected and takes away the seriousness that a black pump would create.

You can never go wrong with all black and when I go with a monochromatic color palette I like to play with different textures. The silhouette of my look is very girly but the textures give it that edge that I like to incorporate into my style and it gives it that PocketsandBows flare!

Always make trends work for you and your personal style! That way you never have to worry about looking like a carbon copy.

So tell me, how do you make current trends your own?

Think Outside The Dress

Hey guys! I wore this look recently and I was finally able to wear one of my new favorite pieces in my wardrobe which is this Zara inspired Tie Dye Maxi dress. Instead of wearing as a dress, I wore it open as a long kimono over a pair of denim cutoffs for a more laid back look since I was going to a cook out.

I love the earth tone color palette and it went perfect with my cognac sandals! I had a bohemian vibe going on which is a little different for me, but I was feeling it.

I hope you enjoy this look as well :)
